Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has announced the launch of a special three-tier File Adalat system aimed at expediting the clearance of long-pending government files. Set to run from July 1 to August 31, the initiative will function at three levels: the State Secretariat, offices of department heads, and public-facing administrative units across the state.
During a high-level meeting, the Chief Minister urged departmental secretaries to hold review meetings, prioritize files based on urgency, and personally oversee progress at every level. Chief Secretary A. Jayathilak will submit monthly updates on the campaign’s status, with periodic reviews led by the Chief Minister and the Cabinet.
To ensure transparency and real-time monitoring, a dedicated IT portal will be developed in collaboration with the state’s IT Department—tracking each file from submission through resolution.
The File Adalat is expected to eliminate bureaucratic delays, enhance decision-making speed, and deliver a citizen-first administration—marking a significant step toward responsive and accountable governance in Kerala.
