Kerala High Court Orders SIT Probe into Illegal Flex Board Installation Outside Secretariat

In a significant ruling, the Kerala High Court has ordered the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the illegal installation of a massive flex board outside the Kerala Secretariat. The court’s decision follows reports of the unauthorized display, despite multiple directives to prevent such actions.

Justice Devan Ramachandran expressed strong concern, stating, “This Court is unable to understand how, even after repeated orders, anybody has the temerity to put up any board/flag, much less that of the size now reported.” The court emphasized the need for a comprehensive investigation to uncover how the flex board was erected and who violated the court’s instructions.

The Kerala Police, in coordination with the SIT, will now investigate the matter and identify those responsible for breaching the rules. This move underscores the court’s commitment to upholding its orders and curbing illegal installations in sensitive areas like the Secretariat.

With the investigation underway, the authorities face growing pressure to ensure better enforcement and accountability.
