The Kerala High Court has ordered the immediate suspension of the Community Policing Project at Sabarimala after a preliminary police report uncovered unauthorized fund collection by the project’s coordinator.
The court intervened following allegations that funds were being raised illegally under the guise of community policing. Authorities are now investigating the financial irregularities linked to the project.
The High Court emphasized that any initiative, especially at a sensitive pilgrimage site like Sabarimala, must strictly adhere to legal and regulatory norms. Further hearings are expected as the investigation progresses.
