The Kerala government has ordered a high-level probe after alarming discrepancies were found in more than 30,000 Plus Two (Class 12) mark lists issued by the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE). The errors, which include incorrect subject marks, missing grades, and miscalculated total scores, have triggered panic among students and parents across the state.
The issue came to light after a flood of complaints revealed that several students’ official mark lists did not match their actual exam performance. The matter quickly gained traction as schools and education officials flagged the extent of the inaccuracies.
Education Minister V. Sivankutty has taken serious note of the situation, calling for an urgent and detailed investigation. “We are committed to upholding the credibility of the public examination system. Those responsible for these grave errors will face strict consequences,” the minister said.
In response, the DHSE has promised swift corrections and assured that no student will be penalized during the ongoing university admission process due to these technical glitches.
Students have been urged to double-check their mark sheets and report any discrepancies to school authorities or the newly established grievance redressal cell, which aims to fast-track corrections.
With university admissions already in progress, the government faces mounting pressure to resolve the issue immediately and protect the academic future of thousands of students across Kerala.
