Kerala Exploring Revenue Generation Without Burdening People: CM Vijayan

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has assured that the state government is actively exploring ways to boost revenue without imposing additional financial burdens on the people. Highlighting Kerala’s economic progress, Vijayan stated that the state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) is growing at an impressive rate of nearly 12% at current prices.

Addressing concerns over fiscal challenges, the Chief Minister emphasized that Kerala is adopting innovative strategies to strengthen its economy while ensuring public welfare remains a priority. “Despite financial constraints, we are committed to maintaining social security schemes and welfare initiatives without compromising economic stability,” he said.

Vijayan also underscored the state’s efforts in simplifying investment procedures to attract more businesses. He reiterated that Kerala remains an attractive destination for investors due to its skilled workforce, infrastructure development, and proactive governance.

As the government strategizes its fiscal policies, Vijayan reaffirmed that people’s interests will not be compromised, and sustainable economic growth will remain the focus.
