Thiruvananthapuram — The Kerala government has declared a public holiday on July 22 (Tuesday) as a mark of respect following the demise of former Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan.
All government offices, educational institutions, public sector undertakings, autonomous bodies, and institutions under the Negotiable Instruments Act across the state will remain closed for the day.
The government has also announced a three-day mourning period starting July 22, during which the national flag will be flown at half-mast across Kerala.
