Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed the Assembly that 1,343 cases have been registered in connection with the CSR funds scam, where the accused allegedly collected ₹281.43 crore from 49,386 people.
Responding to queries in the House, the CM stated that the scam involved fraudulent claims of providing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to individuals and organizations, leading to large-scale financial misappropriation.
The government has launched an extensive probe, and strict legal action will be taken against those involved, the CM assured. Authorities are working on recovering the funds and ensuring justice for the victims.
