Kargil Vijay Diwas: Yogi Adityanath Pays Tribute to Brave Soldiers

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday paid tribute to the courage and sacrifice of Indian soldiers on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, joining several senior BJP leaders in honouring the heroes of the 1999 Kargil War.

In a post on X, Adityanath extended his greetings to the nation and described Kargil Vijay Diwas as a lasting symbol of the bravery, sacrifice and patriotism of India’s armed forces.

“Heartiest greetings to everyone on Kargil Vijay Diwas. This day is an immortal symbol of the valour, sacrifice and patriotism of our brave soldiers,” he said.

Paying homage to the fallen soldiers, the Chief Minister said, “Salute to all the immortal heroes of the Indian Army who laid down their lives in defence of the motherland. Jai Hind.”

Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed every year on July 26 to commemorate India’s victory in the 1999 Kargil War and to honour the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in protecting the nation’s sovereignty.
