In a proud moment for Indian cinema, legendary actor Kamal Haasan and versatile star Ayushmann Khurrana have been invited to join the prestigious Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), granting them the right to vote for the 2025 Oscars. The 2025 invite list also includes global stars like Gillian Anderson, Ariana Grande, Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Strong, and Jason Momoa, underscoring the Academy’s continued effort to expand its international and diverse membership.
Academy CEO Bill Kramer and President Janet Yang praised the invitees, saying they represent “exceptional artists, technicians, and professionals” who have made “enduring contributions to global cinema.”
The 2026 Oscars ceremony is scheduled for March 15, 2026, hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien. Nomination voting will take place from January 12 to 16, with the final list of nominees to be revealed on January 22.
