New Delhi: In a fresh surge, India’s active COVID-19 cases have risen to 2,710, as per the latest figures released by the Union Health Ministry. Alongside the rise, 1,170 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, while 7 deaths have been reported across the country.
Health authorities have called for heightened alertness amid this uptick, stressing that although the situation remains under control, there is no room for complacency. They continue to advocate for strict adherence to COVID-appropriate behaviour including mask use, hand hygiene, and social distancing in public areas.
Monitoring efforts have been intensified across states and union territories, with health systems on standby to respond swiftly to any localized spikes. Vaccination drives and public awareness campaigns are also being reinforced to ensure community-level preparedness.
