As Union Home Minister Amit Shah prepares to visit the Sri Rajarajeshwara Temple in Taliparamba , authorities have ramped up security in Kannur district. A 5-km no-drone zone has been declared around the nearby airport under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita to prevent any unauthorized aerial activity. Surveillance and security personnel have been deployed in full strength to ensure a smooth and secure visit.
Amit Shah will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram at 10 PM on July 11. The next morning, he will inaugurate the new BJP state headquarters and launch the party’s “Viksit Keralam Sammelan” as part of its political push in the state. He will then head to Kannur to offer prayers at the ancient temple before flying back to Delhi.
Local authorities have urged public cooperation with security arrangements and asked citizens to remain vigilant. The visit is being closely watched, as it combines both religious significance and political strategy ahead of local body elections in Kerala.
