Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red, orange, and yellow alerts for various districts in Kerala in view of the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall in the coming days.
A red alert has been declared in the following districts:
- June 14: Kannur, Kasaragod
- June 15: Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod
- June 16: Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad
An orange alert has been announced in:
- June 12: Kannur, Kasaragod
- June 13: Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod
- June 14: Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad
- June 15: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad
- June 16: Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kannur, Kasaragod
Yellow alerts have been issued for:
- June 12: Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad
- June 13: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram
- June 14: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam
- June 16: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha
