Kochi: Gold is once again glittering in Kerala markets, with prices soaring past the ₹73,000 mark per sovereign, hinting at a fresh record high on the horizon. A sharp ₹440 surge today pushed the price to ₹73,040 per sovereign, while per gram rates climbed to ₹9,130, up by ₹55.
This rally comes after a brief slump following the previous all-time high of ₹74,320 on April 22. Prices had dipped nearly ₹4,000 in the days that followed, but have since staged a strong comeback, jumping ₹3,000 in just four days.
Analysts point to rising global economic uncertainties and investors flocking to gold as a safe-haven asset as key drivers behind the surge. With this momentum, experts say the ₹75,000 mark is well within reach if the trend continues.
