Gold prices in the state have increased after several days of fluctuation in the market. The price of gold is now ₹13,465 per gram, while one sovereign (8 grams) is priced at ₹1,07,720.
The rate of 18-carat gold has also gone up, reaching ₹11,125 per gram. For 8 grams, the price stands at ₹89,000. Meanwhile, silver is being sold at ₹2,000 for 8 grams.
Despite the recent rise, gold prices had touched a higher level earlier this month, with one sovereign reaching ₹1,26,920 in early March.
Market analysts say that gold prices in the state are largely influenced by international gold rates, fluctuations in the dollar-rupee exchange rate, and import duties, which continue to drive daily variations in pricing.
