Gold Price Falls Sharply by ₹840 per Sovereign; Drops Below ₹92,000 in Kerala

Kochi: Gold prices in Kerala witnessed another sharp decline today, falling below the ₹92,000 mark per sovereign after a brief surge in the previous session.

The price of gold fell by ₹840 per sovereign (8 grams) today, bringing the rate down to ₹91,280 per sovereign. The price per gram dropped by ₹105, with the new rate standing at ₹11,410 per gram.

Just a day earlier, gold prices had increased by ₹920 per sovereign, marking a brief spike after a steady trend. Earlier this month, on October 3, gold had recorded its lowest rate of the month at ₹86,560 per sovereign, while the all-time high of ₹97,360 was registered on October 17.

Experts attribute the recent fluctuations to global economic uncertainty, particularly in the United States, which continues to influence gold prices in the international market. The movement of prices in global trade directly impacts the Indian gold market, leading to the recent volatility in rates.
