India’s state-run oil companies have announced major price cuts effective May 1, 2025. Commercial LPG cylinders have become ₹14.50 cheaper, now costing ₹1,747.50 in Delhi and ₹1,699 in Mumbai, offering relief to hotels, restaurants, and commercial kitchens.
Meanwhile, Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices have been slashed by 4.4%, or ₹3,954.38 per kilolitre, bringing the Delhi rate down to ₹85,486.80. This marks the second fuel cut within a month, aimed at easing pressure on airlines reeling from high operational costs.
The price cuts follow a global dip in crude oil prices, prompting domestic adjustments. However, household LPG prices remain steady at ₹853 per 14.2-kg cylinder, ensuring stability for consumers.
These fuel rate revisions highlight the government’s proactive stance in cushioning key sectors from global market fluctuations.
