“Fire Will Be Met with Fury”: PM Modi Authorizes Army for Uncompromising Retaliation at Border

New Delhi: In a bold and unambiguous directive, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has empowered the Indian Army to respond with full force to any provocation from across the border, declaring, “If bullets come, we will answer with shells.” Despite an existing ceasefire agreement with Pakistan, the army now has complete operational freedom to launch strong counterattacks if aggression occurs.

The military confirmed that Operation Sindoor is still active, underscoring India’s ongoing campaign against cross-border terrorism. India will continue to spotlight Pakistan’s role in supporting terror networks on international platforms.

In a recent phone conversation with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, who called for restraint, PM Modi made India’s stance crystal clear: “Any attack from Pakistan will trigger an intense and destructive response from India.” This echoes past actions where Indian forces decisively struck back, dismantling multiple Pakistani airbases after Pakistan targeted 26 locations in India.

India’s position is firm: “If Pakistan opens fire, India will retaliate harder. If they stop, so will we.” All future military communication will be limited strictly to the DGMO (Director General of Military Operations) channel — with no room for broader negotiations.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized that through Operation Sindoor, Pakistan has come to fully understand the might and resolve of India’s armed forces.
