Thiruvananthapuram: The state will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow. The Shawwal moon has been sighted, joint Mahal Jamaat Qazis Kanthapuram A P Aboobacker Musliyar and Syed Ibrahim Khalil Al-Bukhari announced.
With this, the month of Ramadan comes to an end. Eid prayers will be held in mosques tomorrow morning. People celebrate the festival by wearing new clothes, giving alms, and sharing greetings. Believers are expected to give Zakat al-Fitr before the Eid prayers.
Meanwhile, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar extended Eid greetings to the people of the state. In his message, he said the festival reflects values like discipline and compassion. He wished that Eid would strengthen unity, peace, and progress in society.
