Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday extended greetings to citizens across the country and Indians living abroad on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha.
In her message, the President conveyed special wishes to the Muslim community and said the festival symbolises devotion, sacrifice and selflessness.
She noted that Eid-Uz-Zuha inspires people to serve humanity, especially those who are underprivileged and in need of support.
The President also called upon citizens to strengthen the values of love, unity and harmony in society on the occasion of the festival.
“On the occasion of Eid-Uz-Zuha, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all fellow citizens and Indians living abroad, especially to our Muslim brothers and sisters,” the President said in her message.
