The re-release of Chotta Mumbai, the cult classic starring Mohanlal and directed by Anwar Rasheed, has been postponed to June. Originally scheduled to return to theatres on May 21 in a 4K Dolby Atmos version, the release has now been rescheduled, confirmed producer Maniyanpilla Raju through social media.
The decision comes in light of the continued strong box office performance of Mohanlal’s current film Thudarum, which is drawing packed audiences. To avoid a clash, the team has chosen to push the re-release of Chotta Mumbai.
First released in 2007, Chotta Mumbai features Mohanlal in the unforgettable role of ‘Thala’. Written by Benny P. Nayarambalam, the film is still cherished by fans for its humor, action, and memorable characters.
Following the successful re-releases of Spadikam, Manichitrathazhu, and Devadoothan, all of which received tremendous audience response, fans are now eagerly looking forward to Chotta Mumbai‘s return to the big screen in June.
