BLM to Initiate Legal Action Against K.P. Manoj Kumar Over Defamatory Campaign

Thrissur: Bharat Lajna Multi state housing Co-operative Society (BLM) has announced plans to initiate legal proceedings against K.P. Manoj Kumar, who allegedly runs an unauthorized financial establishment and has been systematically spreading defamatory and false information targeting BLM and its employees.

According to a statement from BLM, Manoj Kumar has been publishing and distributing self-printed newspapers containing misleading and malicious content. These publications have also been widely circulated via social media platforms, allegedly as part of a sustained campaign to tarnish the reputation of the organization and its personnel.

BLM further alleges that Manoj Kumar is involved in a series of hostile actions stemming from personal vendettas. These include issuing death threats to certain employees, forcibly entering BLM’s Thrissur regional office, threatening female staff, and assaulting a staff member — all of which are part of an ongoing police case. Despite the gravity of these incidents, BLM expressed concern that no substantive police action has been taken against him to date.

In response to the continued threats and defamatory campaigns, BLM’s Legal Cell Chief confirmed that the organization is preparing to seek judicial recourse. Earlier, formal complaints had been submitted to both the Chief Minister and the Governor regarding death threats issued by Manoj Kumar against BLM’s Deputy General Manager. BLM further claims that he maintains close associations with drug syndicates and criminal elements, and has allegedly used his influence within law enforcement to intimidate complainants and suppress investigations.

BLM emphasized that it has been operating lawfully and transparently under central government regulations for over two decades, delivering valuable services to communities worldwide. Founder Member R. Promkumar stated that attempts to defame BLM are, in effect, an attack on its lakhs of members. He affirmed that the organization is determined to pursue strong legal action to safeguard its reputation and interests.
