Big Relief for ASHA Workers: Central Government Considers Incentive Hike

New Delhi: In a significant development, the central government is actively considering increasing incentives for ASHA workers and bringing them under labor laws, Kerala Health Minister Veena George announced after a positive meeting with Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda in Delhi.

“The Union Minister attentively listened to Kerala’s concerns, especially regarding ASHA workers, and assured that an incentive hike is under serious consideration,” Veena George stated.

“Nadda reaffirmed that Kerala will soon get an AIIMS, and the discussions were highly encouraging,” George added, signaling a positive step forward for healthcare initiatives in the state.
