Union Minister V. Somanna announced that the Bengaluru Suburban Railway Project will focus on completing Corridors 2 (Chikkabanavara-Baiyappanahalli) and 4 (Heelalige-Rajanukunte) by December 2026. Meanwhile, Corridors 1 and 3 will be delayed due to land acquisition hurdles. The move aims to meet the initial deadlines for key routes, while the remaining corridors will be addressed in future phases.
