The South Western Railway has extended three special weekly train services between SMVT Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram North until the end of December, ensuring continued festive season connectivity.
The SMVT Bengaluru–Thiruvananthapuram North Weekly Express (0655) will now run until December 26, while the Thiruvananthapuram North–SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Express Special has been extended to December 28.
Similarly, the SMVT Bengaluru–Thiruvananthapuram North Weekly Express (06523) will continue until December 29, and its return service (06524) until December 30.
The Weekly Express Special (06547), earlier sanctioned till September 3, will now operate until December 24, with its return service (06548) extended till December 25.
Railway officials confirmed that timings, stoppages, and coach composition remain unchanged, making travel easier for festive and year-end rush.
