Akhilesh Yadav Questions Adityanath’s Claim of 1.27 Crore Hindu Voters Deleted

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Friday questioned Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s claim that 1.27 crore Hindu voters had been removed from the electoral rolls, asking how he obtained the figures and whether the Election Commission had shared the information with him.

Addressing a party programme in Lucknow, Yadav criticised Adityanath for repeatedly raising concerns over alleged infiltrators in connection with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

He said the chief minister had earlier created an atmosphere of fear across the country by highlighting the issue of infiltrators and was now making claims about the deletion of a large number of Hindu voters.

Yadav also sought clarification on whether the Election Commission had provided the voter deletion data directly to the chief minister or his office.
