Gold Glitter Hits New Peak: Prices Near ₹92,000 as Global Uncertainty Fuels Surge

Kochi: Gold continues its dazzling rally, edging closer to the historic ₹92,000 mark per sovereign — a new record in Kerala’s bullion market. Prices climbed by ₹240 per sovereign on Sunday, pushing the rate to an all-time high of ₹91,960. The price per gram also rose by ₹30, reaching ₹11,495.

The precious metal has witnessed a stunning rise of over ₹5,000 in just ten days, after breaching the ₹90,000 barrier on October 8 and racing past ₹91,000 the very next day.

Experts attribute the surge to soaring investor demand for gold as a safe-haven asset, driven by growing economic uncertainty in the United States and global market volatility. The international price fluctuations are directly influencing Indian rates, keeping gold firmly on its upward trajectory.
