Gold prices in Kerala have seen a slight decline. On Friday, prices touched an all-time high of ₹81,600 per sovereign (8 grams). However, they dropped by ₹80 on Saturday and again by ₹80 on Sunday, bringing the price down to ₹81,440 per sovereign.
The fall was reflected in retail rates as well, with prices per gram slipping by ₹10 to ₹10,180. While prices remained unchanged in the morning, the decline was recorded by noon.
At the beginning of this month, gold was priced at ₹77,640 per sovereign—the lowest this month—before steadily climbing almost every day. The surge was mainly driven by international gold price trends.
