Rain to Linger in Kerala for Four More Days Under Low-Pressure Influence

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala is set to experience spells of rain for the next four days, thanks to the impact of a well-marked low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal and an active trough stretching from the southern Gujarat coast to northern Kerala.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the state will see light to moderate showers, but heavy rainfall is not expected. As a result, no weather alerts have been issued for any district.

The IMD has, however, issued an advisory for fishermen, warning them to avoid venturing into the sea off the Karnataka coast on August 20 and in the Lakshadweep region on August 21 and 22, citing rough conditions.
