Apple Bets Big on India with ₹1,000 Crore Bengaluru Office Deal

Bengaluru: In a major expansion move, Apple India has signed a 10-year lease for 2.7 lakh sq ft of prime office space at the Embassy Zenith building, committing over ₹1,000 crore in rentals. The deal, which spans the 5th to 13th floors and begins on April 3, 2025, comes with a monthly rent of ₹6.31 crore, a ₹31.57 crore security deposit, and a 4.5% annual escalation. Apple also holds an option to lease an additional 1.21 lakh sq ft, potentially expanding its footprint to 4 lakh sq ft, making this its largest office in India. Industry experts see the move as a strong endorsement of India’s growing tech ecosystem, with the new Bengaluru hub expected to house over 1,200 employees and bolster Apple’s R&D and manufacturing push in the country.
