Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off the Monsoon Session of Parliament by declaring it a “celebration of victory”, spotlighting a series of landmark national achievements and urging Parliament to work in unity for the country’s progress.
PM lauded the swift success of Operation Sindoor, a counter-terror mission that neutralized all targets within just 22 minutes, calling it a shining example of India’s military efficiency and resolve. Turning to India’s scientific achievements, he hailed the proud moment when the Indian flag was unfurled at the International Space Station, describing it as a beacon of inspiration for young innovators.
The Prime Minister also emphasized the growing global trust in ‘Made in India’ defence technologies, stating that India’s self-reliance is earning international recognition. On the economic front, he pointed to robust monsoon conditions — with reservoir levels tripling the 10-year average — as a positive signal for agriculture and the rural economy.
Highlighting economic progress, PM Modi announced that 25 crore people have risen above the poverty line, and inflation has plummeted from double digits to around 2%. He also praised the nation’s success in the fight against Naxalism, noting that previously affected regions are now being transformed into Green Growth Zones.
Ending on a unifying note, he appealed to all MPs to put politics aside and serve the greater good: “Even if we don’t unite for party interests, let us unite for the nation’s interests.”
