Thiruvananthapuram: Former Kerala Chief Minister and veteran CPI(M) leader V.S. Achuthanandan continues to remain in a critical condition after suffering a cardiac arrest. Admitted to a private hospital in Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram, the 90-year-old leader is under round-the-clock intensive care, with a team of expert doctors striving to stabilize his vital functions.
According to the latest medical bulletin, Achuthanandan is on advanced life support systems to manage his respiration, blood pressure, and kidney function. Despite relentless medical efforts, there has been no significant improvement in his health.
He was hospitalized last Monday following a sudden cardiac event, and his condition has shown little to no change since.
As concern grows across the state, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and several other political leaders have visited the hospital, offering support to Achuthanandan’s family and receiving updates from the medical team. The state continues to hope for a turnaround in the health of one of its most respected political figures.
