These projects span across key sectors including rail connectivity, water and sanitation, power, housing, and urban infrastructure, signaling a comprehensive roadmap for Bihar’s growth.
The Prime Minister flagged off the Patliputra–Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express, inaugurated the Vaishali–Deoria rail line (~₹400 crore), and celebrated the export of Bihar’s first locally-manufactured locomotive to South Africa, showcasing the state’s growing industrial strength under the “Make in India, Make for the World” vision.
In a major boost to sanitation and water access, he dedicated six Namami Gange STPs and launched new water projects worth ₹3,000 crore. Additionally, a pioneering Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) was introduced across 15 grid substations to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), over 6,600 homes were handed over, and first installments were disbursed to 53,600 beneficiaries, marking a significant stride in affordable housing delivery.
Addressing the public, PM Modi proclaimed, “Bihar will prosper—and Bihar will help India prosper,” underlining the state’s emerging role in India’s economic rise. He highlighted achievements such as 55,000 km of rural roads, 1.5 crore electrified homes, and over 45,000 Common Service Centres as milestones in Bihar’s transformation.
Cautioning against a return of “forces of old lawlessness,” the PM hailed the role of Bihar’s youth and present leadership in steering the state out of poverty toward a brighter future.
