PM Modi Highlights Constitution’s Strength, Criticizes Congress in Lok Sabha Speech

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Lok Sabha during a special session commemorating the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution. He praised the Constitution’s resilience, noting that it had exceeded expectations since independence. Modi criticized the Congress for allegedly undermining constitutional values in the past, contrasting this with his government’s efforts since 2014 to strengthen national unity and uphold constitutional principles.

Modi underscored the role of the Constitution as a guiding framework for India’s development and pointed to achievements under his leadership that align with its ideals. He called for unity and a shared commitment to preserving the constitutional spirit as India continues its global progress.

President Droupadi Murmu, in related discussions, described the Constitution as a “living and progressive document” that has fostered social justice and inclusive growth.
