Amit Shah Expresses Deep Grief After Meeting Families of Drug-Related Victims in Punjab

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday expressed profound sorrow after meeting the families of people who died in incidents linked to Punjab’s drug problem, saying the experience had left him deeply saddened.

Speaking to reporters in Ludhiana after visiting Gurdaspur, Mansa and Sangrur, Shah said he had never experienced such deep grief in his life while interacting with the bereaved families.

The Union Minister also criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab, alleging that it had failed to contain the drug menace and that the illegal drug trade continued to expand across the state.

Shah’s visit focused on meeting families affected by drug-related incidents and highlighting concerns over the continuing impact of substance abuse and drug trafficking in Punjab.
