New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) has conducted a series of anti-drug awareness programmes under Mission Yuva Raksha to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, illegal trafficking and possession of narcotic substances.
As part of the initiative, an awareness programme was held at G.T. Polytechnic College, Jaora, where students were sensitised about the harmful effects of drug abuse, preventive measures and the role of youth in building a drug-free society. The programme included presentations, awareness videos and quiz activities, followed by an anti-drug pledge.
CBN also organised an awareness programme in Mandsaur under its MoU with the Brahma Kumaris. Around 50 opium cultivators and 40 CBN officers participated in the programme. Participants were briefed on the harmful effects of drug abuse and their role in supporting the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
The programme concluded with an anti-drug pledge, reinforcing the commitment towards creating a drug-free India.
