New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated India’s women’s cricket team for winning the gold medal at the Asian Games, calling it a significant achievement for Indian cricket.
Modi praised the team’s confident performance, skill and teamwork throughout the competition. The victory also secured India’s first gold medal of the 2026 Asian Games, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
The Prime Minister said the team’s achievement had made the country proud and would inspire young cricketers across India. He extended his best wishes to the entire squad for their future endeavours.
