New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated veteran actor Anant Nag on being honoured with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
In a message posted on X, Modi praised Nag’s decades-long contribution to Indian cinema, particularly the Kannada film industry, and lauded his versatility and acclaimed performances.
The prime minister said Nag had brought depth and authenticity to the diverse roles he portrayed, leaving a lasting impression on Indian cinema.
Modi described the award as a “richly deserved honour” for the distinguished actor and extended his best wishes to Nag on the occasion.
“Congratulations to the legendary Anant Nag Ji on being conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award,” Modi said in his post.
