Lucknow: Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra on Monday described Operation Sindoor as more than a military campaign, calling it the culmination of years of preparation, planning and strategic foresight.
Mishra, who headed the Western Air Command during the operation, made the remarks while speaking at an event organised by Aaj Tak in New Delhi.
He said the operation reflected the collective efforts of Indian scientists, engineers and Air Force personnel, whose work over the years contributed to its execution.
Mishra, who has been appointed the new CEO of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, largely refrained from discussing his new responsibilities, saying he is yet to formally assume charge.
