PM Modi Joins SCO Leaders at World Nomad Games Opening in Bishkek

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday attended the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek, joining several visiting leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

The sixth edition of the World Nomad Games is being held in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6, bringing together participants from several countries to compete in traditional nomadic sports and cultural events.

Modi, who is visiting Kyrgyzstan to attend the SCO summit, witnessed the opening ceremony and met members of the Indian contingent taking part in the games.

The event provided an opportunity for participating countries to showcase their traditional sporting heritage and cultural traditions on an international platform.
