New Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner and Chairman of the Council of Member States of International IDEA, Gyanesh Kumar, met Argentine Ambassador to India Mariano Agustin Caucino in New Delhi to discuss ways to strengthen democratic and electoral cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to promoting closer democratic engagement, in line with the vision outlined at IICDEM 2026.
The discussions also focused on enhancing cooperation in election management. The two sides agreed to work together more closely in areas including the exchange of expertise and training of election officials.
The meeting highlighted the importance of international collaboration and sharing best practices to further strengthen electoral institutions and democratic processes.
