New Delhi: Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday led a commitment programme in New Delhi to translate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Shakti Ki Saptadhara’ vision into action.
The programme, held at the C. Subramaniam Auditorium in Pusa, brought together officials, scientists, farmers, Lakhpati Didis, food processors, exporters and Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) representatives. Chouhan administered a collective pledge to work towards building a developed, prosperous, self-reliant and empowered India.
Chouhan said agriculture and food processing are key pillars of the Prime Minister’s vision, stressing the need to improve agricultural production, quality, safety and compliance with global standards to expand Indian farm products in international markets.
He urged officials and employees to put national interest first, set clear departmental goals and implement them with integrity, dedication and hard work. “Serving farmers, the poor and rural communities is akin to serving Bharat Mata,” he said.
