Delhi Police Urged CJP Organisers to Arrange Crowd Control Ahead of ‘Sansad Chalo’ Protest: Viral Video

New Delhi: A viral video circulating on social media has brought renewed attention to the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) “Sansad Chalo” protest, purportedly showing senior Delhi Police officers urging organisers to put adequate crowd-management measures in place ahead of the demonstration.

The video, reportedly recorded at Jantar Mantar on July 19, a day before the July 20 protest march, captures an interaction between New Delhi Deputy Commissioner of Police Sachin Sharma, Joint Commissioner of Police Deepak Purohit, and CJP representatives, including Saurav Das.

During the exchange, the police officers express concern over the absence of volunteers at the protest venue despite expectations of a large turnout. One officer is heard advising the organisers to deploy volunteers to help regulate the crowd and ensure orderly conduct during the gathering. The video has since gone viral on social media, drawing attention to the police’s efforts to encourage organisers to strengthen crowd-control arrangements before the protest. However, the authenticity of the video and the full context of the conversation have not been independently verified.
