New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi chief Saurabh Bharadwaj on Friday said the party would support students who allegedly face threats after participating in the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)-led protest at Jantar Mantar.
In a post on X addressed to “Delhi GenZ”, Bharadwaj urged students not to be intimidated by what he described as “right wing goons.” He said that any student who peacefully attended the protest and was facing threats should contact the AAP, assuring them that the party would stand by them.
AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal shared Bharadwaj’s post, calling it a “major announcement.” He added that the party would unite to respond to anyone attempting to intimidate the students.
The remarks come amid heightened political tensions following the CJP-led demonstration in the national capital.
