New Delhi: India has successfully completed 12 launch vehicle missions, launched 11 national satellites, and placed nine international customer satellites into orbit between July 2023 and June 2026, the Centre informed the Rajya Sabha.
During this period, India achieved several key milestones, including the Chandrayaan-3 soft landing near the Moon’s south pole, the launch of the Aditya-L1 solar mission, the NASA-ISRO NISAR mission, and the successful SPADEX space docking mission.
The government also said it is expanding the country’s launch infrastructure with a third launch pad at Sriharikota and an SSLV launch complex at Kulasekarapattinam, Tamil Nadu, while promoting greater private sector participation in the space sector.
The information was shared by Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.
