Agartala: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has directed authorities to intensify monitoring of financial transactions, large-scale construction activities, and property dealings in areas along Tripura’s international border.
The directive was issued during a meeting chaired by Shah at the Border Security Force (BSF) Tripura Frontier headquarters on Friday as part of a review of security arrangements in the northeastern state’s border regions.
According to an official statement released on Saturday, the Home Minister stressed the need for heightened vigilance over financial activities, the construction of major buildings, and the sale and purchase of properties near the border.
Shah also instructed officials to conduct a detailed examination of land records from the past five years to identify any irregularities and strengthen border security measures.
The meeting focused on ensuring effective surveillance and addressing security concerns in border areas, with an emphasis on preventing activities that could pose risks to national security.
