Min Aung Hlaing Arrives in Gaya, Visits Maha Bodhi Temple

Min Aung Hlaing arrived in Bihar’s Gaya on Saturday as part of his five-day official visit to India.

The Myanmar President, accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising cabinet ministers and business leaders, was received at the airport by state government officials and accorded a warm welcome.

During his visit, Min Aung Hlaing is scheduled to offer prayers at the Maha Bodhi Temple, one of Buddhism’s holiest sites, as well as the Sujata Temple in Gaya district.

The visit is expected to further strengthen cultural and diplomatic ties between India and Myanmar.
