The portfolio allocation in the cabinet headed by Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan has been finalised for the 16th Kerala Legislative Assembly.
Satheesan will handle key departments including General Administration, Finance, Law and Ports. Senior leader Ramesh Chennithala has been given the Home and Vigilance portfolios.
The distribution of other major departments is as follows:

- M. Liju – Excise and Cooperation
- Roji M. John – Higher Education

- K. A. Thulasi – Backward Welfare
- Bindu Krishna – Women and Child Welfare, Labour
- O. J. Janish – Sports and Youth Welfare
- P. K. Kunhalikutty – Industries and IT
- N. Shamsudheen – General Education
- K. M. Shaji – Local Self Government
- P. K. Basheer – Public Works
- V. E. Abdul Gafoor – Fisheries
- Mons Joseph – Irrigation
- Anoop Jacob – Food and Civil Supplies
- Shibu Baby John – Forest
- C. P. John – Transport
The new cabinet officially assumed charge following the swearing-in ceremony held earlier this week in Thiruvananthapuram.
