Milma Hikes Milk Price by ₹4 Per Litre from June 1

Milma has announced a hike of ₹4 per litre in milk prices across Kerala. With the revision, the price of milk will increase to ₹56 per litre from June 1.

The decision was taken after discussions by Milma’s Board of Directors. Sources said the federation had decided during a meeting held in April to implement the price hike after the Assembly election results.

According to Milma, the revised pricing structure is aimed at ensuring a larger share of the revenue reaches dairy farmers. Around 83.75 per cent of the amount will go to milk producers, while 6.25 per cent each will be allocated to cooperative societies and dealers.

Milma will receive 2.5 per cent of the revenue. In addition, 0.75 per cent will be set aside for welfare funds and 0.5 per cent for plastic waste management activities.
