A decision on Kerala’s next chief minister is expected by Sunday following discussions between Congress high command observers, party leaders and newly elected MLAs.
After the Congress Legislature Party meeting, AICC observers held consultations with senior leaders and legislators to assess support for the top post.
Political circles indicate that the names of V. D. Satheesan, K. C. Venugopal and Ramesh Chennithala are among those being considered for the chief minister’s position.
AICC observers Mukul Wasnik and Ajay Maken are expected to submit their report to the party high command, which will take the final decision.
