3-Tier Security, QR-Based Entry for Tamil Nadu Vote Counting

A three-tier security system along with QR code-based entry will be implemented for vote counting in Tamil Nadu on May 4, Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik said.

The system is aimed at ensuring strict access control and preventing unauthorised entry into counting centres. Only authorised personnel with QR-coded identity cards will be allowed inside after multiple levels of verification.

Officials said the enhanced measures are part of efforts by the Election Commission of India to ensure a secure, transparent and smooth counting process.
